Terms of service

Who we are

WoT Replay Recorder is a service operated by Technyx LLC. "We" and "us" throughout these terms mean Technyx LLC. You can reach us at [email protected].

What this service does

You upload a World of Tanks replay file that you already have. We play it back on a machine we run, record what happens on screen, and give you back an MP4 you can download. If you connect your YouTube channel, we can also publish it there for you.

Not affiliated with Wargaming

WoT Replay Recorder and Technyx LLC are independent of Wargaming. This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or in any way officially connected to Wargaming. World of Tanks and all related marks are the property of their respective owners.

Your account

You sign in with your Wargaming account. We never see or store your Wargaming password — the sign-in happens on Wargaming's own site and hands us only your account id, in-game name and region.

You are responsible for what you upload. Only upload replays you obtained legitimately by playing the game or that were shared with you.

Credits

  • One credit records one replay.
  • Credits do not expire.
  • Credits have no cash value except as set out under Refunds below, and cannot be transferred between accounts.
  • New accounts start with one free credit so you can see what the output looks like before paying for anything.

Payment

Payments are handled by Paddle, who are the merchant and seller of record. Your contract for the purchase is with them, and their terms and refund handling apply alongside these. They collect and remit any tax due in your country. We never see your card details.

Refunds

If a recording fails, you get the credit back. That is the main case, and you do not have to ask — although if it has not reappeared within a day, email us and we will sort it out.

Unused credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase. Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or contact Paddle directly. We refund the unused portion of the pack; credits already spent on completed recordings are not refundable, because the work was done and the video delivered.

Refunds are returned by Paddle to the original payment method. Where a refund covers credits you have already spent, your balance may go below zero — you will not lose access to anything already delivered, but you will need to buy that shortfall back before recording again.

If you are in the EU or UK, you keep whatever statutory cancellation rights apply to you. Nothing here reduces them.

What we do not promise

This is a small service run on a small amount of hardware. Recordings depend on old game clients behaving predictably, and some replays cannot be recorded at all — a replay of an interrupted battle has no length recorded in it, and a replay from a game version we do not hold a client for cannot be played back. We will tell you when that happens and you keep the credit.

We do not guarantee uptime, a turnaround time, or that any specific replay will record successfully. Videos are stored so you can download them, but keep your own copy of anything you care about.

Sharing a recording

You can ask for a shareable link on any finished recording. Anyone holding that link can watch it without an account, so treat it as public once you have sent it to somebody. Your recordings are private until you do this, or until we feature one (below).

You can turn a link off at any time, and it stops working straight away — including copies already sent. We may also turn one off ourselves without notice if we are asked to by someone in the recording, or if it is being used for something in the next section. That does not affect your own access to the video or your credits.

A replay names the other players in that battle, because the game recorded them. Sharing a recording publishes those names. That is yours to decide, and yours to answer for.

Being featured

Unless you tell us not to, you give us permission to show a recording you have made on our home page and our YouTube channel, and to link to it. That permission is all you give: the recording stays yours, we claim no rights over it, and we will not use it anywhere you have not been told about here or in the privacy policy.

You can withdraw that permission for one recording from its page, or for all of them from your account page. Anything on the home page comes down on the next page load, and a copy on our YouTube channel is removed within seven days, usually within minutes. Being eligible does not oblige us to show a recording, and showing one does not oblige us to keep showing it — we can take one down at any time, without notice or a reason.

YouTube

If you connect your YouTube channel, you can publish a finished recording to it from the recording's page. We upload only what you ask us to, as a private video; making it public is your decision, in YouTube Studio. You are responsible for what is on your own channel, including the other players' names a replay shows.

Recordings published to YouTube, on your channel or ours, are subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. By using WoT Replay Recorder you agree to be bound by them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to harass anyone, or to try to disrupt the service itself. That includes using a share link to single out or embarrass another player. We may suspend an account doing any of those, and will refund unused credits if we do.

Ending things

You can stop using the service whenever you like and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you and we hold an email address for you, we will tell you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
